If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
What/who changed my life and why
I once met a horse who was so emaciated that he had to lean against the wall of his stall to stand. When I looked in his eyes he seemed to be asking me for help.I knew he wanted to live.I was 11 years old. I had went to a livestock sell with my grandpa to buy a cow, when I saw him. I ran to my grandpa to tell him about the horse. When my grandpa saw him, he told me ha was bound for dogfood. I bursted in to tears, begging my grandpa to bid on him.Being the only granddaughter, and against his better judgement, thinking the the horse would not even make it to the bidding lane without dying first. He bid on him, we won, paying only 40 dollars for him.We had to have lots of help to get him on the trailor. But we got him home, named him Bo. It took a year before my grandpa thought he was strong enough for us to ride.Bo thought me that when you reach out to an animal calling you for help, they will never forget it. They love you with all their hearts. To me this is one of the greatest loves of all.We had Bo for 15 years before we had to let him go. I dont know if he was loved in the first 5 years of his life, but his last 15 he lived loved!!!
