My birthday is 7/15/61. My hair is reddish-brown.In the picture, I'm the one in blue-green. I smile & laugh alot and enjoy a good joke. I asked a friend how they would describe me to a man and here is what was said, "she is kind, generous, unselfish, too kind to animals, volunteers herself regularly - not just her money, owns a home, has 3 cats (all rescued), a Maroon-bellied Conure, Mexican Red-Headed Amazon parrot, and 2 ball pythons, lives with the man of her dreams (finace'), is sincere, respectful, hard-working, independent, doesn't require others to entertain her, doesn't need to be bought things to be okay or to like someone, is not materialistic, prefers to cuddle at home rather than go out, vacations once a year, knows what she wants for her future, prays alot, has a 25 yr old daughter & 6 yr old grandson whom she picks up every Friday - Sunday. I couldn't believe a friend came up with all those adjectives! But that's an observant friend! Now there is more than that to any human being, but the rest can wait until we meet or talk. And I'm not an incredibly talkative person. I don't feel the need to be talking the entire time we are in a car together. Quiet & calm is a good thing.
I've been sober since 11/24/94. Not wild, but the life I lead before I got sober was sure wild - - and deadly. I've been to jail a number of times but not since 1994.
My Philosophy
Choose the most right thing to do. Accept people for who they are, not who you want them to be. Have no expectations of how others should act. Say Thank you often. Smile even more. Hugs are good. Don't be afraid to tell someone you care or that you love them because you may never see that person again.
What Gives Me Hope
God and other people doing life on life's terms without whining about it. People facing adversity with a smile.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
I don't get into unrealistic fantasies like If I Were Mayor, If I were a Man, etc. I have no desire to be mayor because I'm happy with who I am and content with what I have. Can you say that? I don't believe that "More" can make a person happier; it comes from the inside.
What/who changed my life and why
A cultural pluralism college course I took called Minority Communities in the United States. It made me realize just how much damage Caucasions have done to others & their property. And I am Caucasion. Favorite author is Clive Barker.

I don't know Stacy but I think she is to be commended on trying to help the german shepherd and buying it something to eat. If more people were like this then the poor animals would have nothing to fear from mankind. Thank you Stacy for your compassion.
