Current animal and wildlife happenings on the Palouse:
This morning there were many many deer tracks revealed in the newly fallen snow. During the night the deer had gathered around the chicken coop where wheat grain has spilled. They pawed at the snow and ate what wheat they could find. Tonight I deliberately spilled more wheat for them! I will keep watch and try to catch a glimpse of them tonight - maybe even a photo if I'm stealthy enough!
