My Philosophy
The secret of a good life is to have the right loyalties and hold them in the right scale of values. You're alive. Do something. The directive in life, the moral imperative was so uncomplicated. It could be expressed in single words, not complete sentences. It sounded like this: Look. Listen. Choose. Act.
What Gives Me Hope
That there are good people that are doing what it takes to make a difference and together we are capable of changing the world and making it a better place.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
I would make sure everyone had health insurance regardless of income and be treated equally and have access to the same medical treatment and medication. I would pass laws that protect those who cannot speak for themselves like the children, the unborn, all animals and protect our environment. I would do whatever it takes to protect women and children from any kind of violence. Essentially I would do whatever it takes to make this world a better place and especially work on helping the less fortunate.
What/who changed my life and why
Many people have changed my life. My children first and foremost. Jeff-who has taught me that there are still good people out there and that true love does exist. He has opened my eyes and made me see so many things clearer. My grandfather who was my hero and made me the person I am today and taught me that every being, every species and all things deserve to be treated with love and respect. To be thankful for what I do have and not focus on what I do not have. To treat others as you would want to be treated. To make the world a better place because it only takes one person to start to make a difference and others will follow by example.
