At the core of who we are is what we communicate and how we share. These two things are intermingled inextricably with the human experience. Isolation can be good for brief periods of time and soul searching but ultimately we must be part of a community however small or large. Our actions and our deeds towards others are what defines who and what are.
Seekers of the truth are always asking questions, they do not blindly believe, and their search may lead them to redefining themselves as they learn new answers. Sin is really when you compromise your ethics. Doing this means you are not being true to your own self. With such a lie it is hard to retain your own self esteem and without self esteem you become lost.
I like dogs, horses, boating, hiking through parks, Sci-Fi, and working within my community to help make our planet a safer and friendlier place for all mankind. Riding gives me a satisfaction that I am hard pressed to describe - but the solice in riding and feeling a oneness with these magnificant animals is very special.
I believe there should be balance and harmony between your spirtual awareness and the scientific interests of you and the world community. To me the most satisfying jobs are those which give to the community - health, art, science, education, etc. I am a Product Development Engineer and I have the privledge to work in the development, and improvement, of orthopaedic implants that help restore function to peoples broken limbs - I feel honored and fortunate that I have the opportunity to work in this capacity.
Never compromise your ethics. It is sometimes hard to speak the truth but it is harder to live a lie. Love is something you can never take - it can only be given.
I find some peace and solice with the friends in the Quaker Community - the branch where I attend is http://www.gwyneddfriends.org/ feel free to visit it if you care to, the open understanding and acceptance given there has brought great comfort to me.
I am an product development engineer in the medical health field. I design prosthetic implants for orthopaedic bone repair and healing. I love the medical engineering field and feel privledged to have the opportunity to help those who need these devices to help restore their lives. I also am active with the Quaker community.
