NO, this is not a current picture but I just found it 2 days ago in a box in the basement, along with some other photos from the 1970's. Most years of that decade were wonderful for me and this particular picture brought a big smile to my face. Happy memories of the night it was taken made me feel this young again. The place was special (Paris) and the company was too (a very handsome French actor I had met several years before in the US). Not too long ago my hubby fixed something on my desktop. He said when he sat in my chair he felt a lot of negative energy and felt like crying. Why wouldn't there be negative energy in my chair when it's where I sit when looking at horrible pictures of animal abuse and often cry? And every time I comment my former profile picture appeared, which made me sad as that kitty crossed over the rainbow bridge last December and I still shed tears for him. The writing on the t-shirt I am wearing in the picture doesn't show here, but it says "OUI". So I say "yes" to all that is positive.
Love and Light to all my friends and those who visit my page.
Selamat Gajun! Selamat Ja! (Be One  Be in Joy)

"We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living beings, humanity will not find peace."

- Albert Schweitzer, physician/Nobel Laureate.

Lest the awe should dwell and turn your frolic to fret
You shall look on my power at the helping hour
But then you shall forget.
Lest limbs be reddened and rent
I spring the trap that is set
As I loose the snare you may glimpse me there
For surely you shall forget!
Helper and healer, I cheer
Small waifs in the woodland wet
Strays I find in it, wounds I bind in it
Bidding them all forget!

from the chapter Piper (Pan) at the Gates of Dawn, from "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame

The coolness of the riverbank and whispering of the reeds
Daybreak is not so far away
Enchanted and spellbound, in the silence they lingered
And rowed the boat as the light grew steadily strong
And the birds were silent, as they listened for the heavenly music
And the river played the song
The wind in the willows and the piper at the gates of dawn.
The song dream happened and the cloven hoofed piper
Played in that holy ground where they felt the awe and wonder
And they all were unafraid of the great god Pan
And the wind in the willows and the piper at the gates of dawn.
When the vision vanished they heard a choir of birds singing
In the heavenly silence between the trance and the reeds
And they stood upon the lawn and listened to the silence
Of the wind in the willows and the piper at the gates of dawn.

Piper at the Gates of Dawn
