I write this entry with tears flowing. My sweet sweet Red passed away.  There was never and will never be another chicken like her.  The sweetest smartest chicken.

I'll miss your morning Coo-Coo's dear Red.

We'll all miss you.

In red's memory please know that chickens are lovely smart creatures and should be given the respect and love of any animal or pet.  Please fight for the rights of chickens everywhere and put a stop to the cruelty that happens to these wonderful birds.

I hope you are in a place where chickens can fly.

Rest well Red...Rest well, sweet girl.

My Sweet Girl MaryKate passed away On the 12th of February after a two month battle with an ilness.  She had her ups and downs but I guess she just did not have the strength to fight anymore.  I tried hard to save her but somehow I feel it was not hard enough.  This never gets easier.

Goodbye dear Marykate.

Another sad entry.  Dolly passed away in her sleep last night.  She was a shy little chicken at the bottom of the pecking order so we don't have many good pictures of her.  Dolly developed an enlarged (pendulus) crop as a pullet and had battled with crop problems on and off for the 3 and 1/2 years of her little life.  We were always so proud and excited to recieve her beautiful pastel blue-green eggs...Thank you Dolly...Bye little girl.
