About Me I am a mixed blood Native American having Waccamaw, Lumbee, and either Cherokee or Choctaw blood. I am learning my heritage and doing my best to practice the religion, beliefs and lifestyle of my ancestors.

I am a Member of the Waccamaw Indian Peoples of South Carolina & am a volunteer member of their Arts & Crafts Committee.

My name is Algonquian (the Cheyenne are one of the tribes that spoke this language) and means "one who cries".

I prefer a very simple lifestyle. We should all live as simply as possible so that all others have the chance to do so also.

My family was wronged by CPS and I fight that battle on a daily basis. I try to educate all I can as to their rights and point them to the proof of those rights.

I make Native American items for sale, trade and gifting. Bead Loom work and small leather items and cloth dresses and shirts.

Other crafts I do are crocheting & knitting.

With ten children, there are lots of grandchildren!

It has always been difficult for Indian people to understand this.  There are certain things we cannot own that must be shared.  The Land is one of these things.  We need to re-look at what we are doing to the Earth.  We are digging in her veins and foolishly diminishing the natural resources. We are not living in balance. We do not own the Earth; the Earth owns us. Today, let us ponder the true relationship between the Earth and ourselves.

Great Spirit, today, let me see the Earth as you would have me see Her.
