I’m vegetarian since 1997 and vegan since 2004 for ethical reasons.
I always loved animals. As a child, I did not understand why I had to eat them. But my parents and everyone I knew always said to me that we have to eat meat or we turn hill and so on...
Only when I went to university (despite some earlier failed tries...) I've been able to quit of eating meat once for all.
In that time, and with access to the internet, I've read some texts, discover the websites of PETA, Vegan Society, Viva... and listen other vegetarians and everything makes more and more sense to me, I become aware about the reasons to become vegetarian, like health, environment, economics, world hunger, animal exploitation, and so on.
Today I knew that I'm going to be vegan for life. Well...maybe raw food vegan soon :)
I only regret myself for not become vegetarian and vegan earlier :-)
