I am a professed "workaholic" who strives to get my students into college where they will succeed. I would describe myself with the adjectives -- driven, exacting, yet fair. I truly think of my students as "my kids" and want only the best for and out of them.
( 1 ) The Golden Rule -- Treat everyone the way you want to be treated ( 2 ) Don't underestimate yourself and expect too little. You can achieve if you put your mind and some hard work into your efforts.

Mitch Albom's memoir Tuesdays With Morrie taught me not to take people or life for granted. Morrie lived every day to the fullest and wasn't about to let his terminal illness define who he was. That book emphasized the concept of Carpe Diem and what you miss if you let life swirl around you.
