I make a distinction between Catholicism, which is a beautiful way of trying to relate to God and the Catholic Church, which is the political entity that sets rules and negotiates and cuts deals with the other powers that be.

What Gives Me Hope	The Heaven might be a real place and they I might be allowed inside.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by	Universal Health care for every resident of the U.S.
What/who changed my life and why	The novel "The End of the Affair." It was there that I found my patron saint, Sarah Miles. She is able to make me believe that God loves me personally--at least some of the time.
