Hi! Thank you for looking at my profile! I enjoy nature and the outdoors very much and feel very strongly about the plight of threatened and endangered species, imperiled ecosystems and in preserving the environment for future generations.

I live ten miles from town in a very rural area where I regularly see all sorts of interesting animals. There is even a Florida panther crossing sign up on the road that covers my property! The chances of my ever seeing one are very slim but if I ever do, it will certainly top the list of the wild animals I have had the pleasure of seeing in their natural habitat.

Wild Fact About Me

I had the opportunity to swim with a wild manatee in the Crystal River. It was an amazing experience because the manatee showed no fear of humans and allowed me and my college classmates to pet it. However, it was also a very sad experience because of all of the propeller scars that could be seen and felt on its skin. I also had the opportunity to pet a wild tranquilized bear after it had spent the winter hibernating up north. This was also an amazing experience. I was very surprised at how soft the bear’s fur was. It was also very dusty!
