I have a strong desire to help our environment through recycling, planting trees, developing clean renewable energy sources. I have three great pets, Abigail the Beagle, Henrietta the tabby cat and Jefferson the Tuxedo cat, also known as Mr. Ferson. I collect and exhibit German postal history (covers with a story to tell, postally speaking). I love to travel to Germany and elsewhere, my wife loves to travel to England where she researches her family (Porteous and VanPlew) in Lincolnshire. I collect postcards sent from around the world and would appreciate any postcards you care to send - I'll send you a postcard if you wish and send me an address. Bob Glass P.O. I give tours of the Ernest Hemingway birthhouse and love meeting all the visitors. If you can come to Oak Park, I'd love to show you the Hemingway birth house (and Frank Lloyd Wright too).
I drove Mo Udahl to O'Hare Airport on the coldest day in Chicago history, and for a short while I was lost. Mo was over 6 feet tall and I drove an orange Ford Fiesta. Moe, who was thinking of running for President of the United States at the time asked his assistant if he had run an FBI check on me. So I told him 'If you did you found out I protested the Viet Nam War with the Swedish Communist Party.' The color drained from his face. But how that protest took place is another story.
