My Philosophy I think, therefore I get into trouble.
What Gives Me Hope It's getting harder to have hope for the future of our planet as our environment deteriorates faster than we could ever fix it. Cultural instability is rising as a complex & direct result of climatic change, I think. Within the next 50 years, life as we know it will be radically different.

What gives me that hope is the passion of the human heart. And the fact that some people are simply immune to disaster, biologically or culturally!
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by If I were a world leader, the first thing I would do is abolish war, poverty and redistribute wealth, globally. I'd be a dictator in many ways, and a democratic leader in many other ways! I just wanted to get things done. The sooner the better, too! 'Cause I know I'd be liquidated quite quickly.
What/who changed my life and why Three events changed my life: the birth of my 2nd child after 13 years of trying without success; the adopting out of my 3rd child 17 months after the birth of my 2nd child and the death of my oldest child 11 months to the day of the baby's adoption. Now, I say I have three children: one in Heaven, one in Houston and one with me! Tremendous joy and nearly unendurable tragedy, over and over again, in such a short period of time pretty much drove me mad for a while there but mentally, I'm ok now. Completely and utterly changed, but so far from mainstream society, so intolerant of ignorance, injustice and intellectual laziness, that it's hard to be around other people sometimes. People who've lived in Alaska for a long, long time usually come up here for very different reasons than they move to, say, Colorado or Chicago!
