I'm a native New Yorker who is a published author, writer, and the publisher/editor of "The Cat's Meow for Writers & Readers E-zine," an Internet based literary magazine (with 2,120 subscribers so far), that I founded and created in 2004. My husband, our fur baby and I now reside in Queens, New York City, USA; before moving to Queens, however, we lived in Massapequa, Long Island (New York) in the USA. Although I'm publisher and editor of my own magazine, I continue to write my stories, poetry and articles because -- besides my husband, my fur baby, and my desire to help and inspire others -- writing and publishing is my #1 passion. I earned a Certificate in Creative Writing & Children's Literature through St. John's University in Jamaica, (Queens) NY, by attending school at night while working as a full time secretary, typesetter and artist. My Internet based literary magazine has received a Bronze Award for Excellence in Ezine Publishing (2006); my own writing received a Golden Pencil Award for Excellence in short stories, poetry and articles (2003). My first published book, titled "Touch of Tomorrow," was published in 2002 but is now out-of-print and is the reason I'm happy to introduce my second published book, titled "Mirrored Images," which is a compilation of my non fiction and fiction stories and poems. I am a published author, working on her 3rd book, and also the publisher & editor of an Internet literary magazine which I founded in 2004. Whenever possible, I also advocate for peace, children, animals (both pets and wildlife), women and women's rights, human rights, the mentally ill, the poor, and those living in poverty because I care deeply about people, animals and our planet.
Falling down a flight of stairs 15 years ago left me with internal injuries and chronic pain..but my fall was a blessing in disguise because before going full time with my own writing & publishing, I was a secretary, typesetter and artist working for someone else.
My Philosophy
Our heavenly Father created animals to teach us how to unconditionally love one another.
What Gives Me Hope
President Obama. And the fact that more people are becoming informed and educated about certain issues effecting all of our lives such as our planet's environment and the right of all human beings to live a life of prosperity and peace.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Cracking down on the abuse and violence against women, children, animals and the homeless people.
What/who changed my life and why
Book(s): "A Woman of Substance" by Barbara Taylor Bradford, and "Where Are the Children?" by Mary Higgins Clark; Person(s): My mother, my father and my husband because they are all heroes to me!

Sarah, thanks for your graphics and for thinking of me You'll be happy to know the graphic(s) didn't duplicate this time, so i guess that was just a computer glitch on here rather than a virus. Pam, Happy Fall to you too!!! Thanks for your lovely graphic I'm glad the summer is finally over b/c it was a chaotic summer for me! Now i'm looking forward to the upcoming holidays...
I agree, Sarah, that is weird that i got duplicates of your graphics saying: "Have a nice weekend!" and "Have a nice week!" I wish i knew what happened there. But I can try to guess...there was, or is, some kind of a virus on Care2's site! I know that i get duplicate emails sent to me usually when a person has a malicious virus on their computer so i then warn them about this; in case they themselves don't know they have a virus on their computer! We can inform the owners of Care2 about these duplicate graphics, however, at this time i truly don't have the time to write them. But i thank you so much for thinking of me
