What's good for the goose isn’t good for those who take a gander at The Knoll’s playing fields, which are typically covered in bird droppings. To combat the problem of Canada geese soiling those playing fields, the Melrose Health Department has called in the feds. Last Friday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) reported to the Melrose Police that they would be conducting net-gun captures of geese at Ell Pond.
