They are the most incredible & patient of teachers..we need not look further for the 'real' angels on earth. It not only breaks my heart..but it completely stuns me when I meet or hear of people who say or do cruel things to them..how can they not 'get' what profound gifts from above they are? I will always give of myself to them..for they have given me uncountable reasons' for living every single day. A little about me. My world..as it is..in all its splendor..dysfunction and highness has been spent mostly on my own. Although blessed with loving parents and many friends..I seem to enjoy alone time more than most. I've reached this place where I've a need to seriously examine what sun-set I want to be heading towards in the second half of my life. Now..I 'assume' it's the second half of my life because everything has suddenly become harder physically and more profound mentally. As well I'll hit 50 years of age in the next year. Really I'm being a tad presumptous as I suppose I could drop dead like anyone else at anytime. Still..I'll 'assume' I've yet a few more years to go on this planet. My goal: To see, listen, hear, feel, learn & teach..and when I know better..to do better.

What Gives Me Hope	Animals and the people who love them, the 4 seasons, children, freedom, people who give a damn
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by	Pass a mandatory "Spend a day with an animal" bill. Wouldn't be popular with some..but it would hopefully make a point..send a message and just maybe turn some people around to the magic of them.
What/who changed my life and why	My mother..because she's given me all the tools I'll ever need to make it through with decency..fairness..love..candidness & laughter of course. A little book by the name of "The Outsiders,' gave me my first real glimpse outside of my parents world. I was 7 when I picked it up in the school library and recall how I wouldn't put it down until I'd reached the ending. Although a work of ficiton..it changed how I saw the world at the time. For the bad or the good? For both I believe...in that I suddenly became aware of all these things at once, and wondered how they might pertain to my life outside of family. It spoke to reality, harsheness, goodness, friendship, loyalty insecurity & consequences all at once. A far cry from the fairy tales I was used to and alot for a 7 year old to take in I guess.
