Many things about me change from day to day -- I am Change as water changes. However, there are some things that are constant: My convictions are as solid as bedrock. I live every day with love for Mother Earth and tread as lightly as I can, trying to leave each place I visit a little better than I found it. Recycling is second nature to me. My commitment to my feline friend's welfare is absolute. My loyalty as a friend - fierce. I am a bit quirky with a sense humor to go right along and I nearly always have a smile to share with others. Me in a nutshell, I guess. (As for my political leaning, I have always been confused by the whole messy business -- since many politicians seem to say one thing and do quite another. I can say I'm Green and that I believe in peoples' rights to health, happiness, truth, peace, love and harmony.)
A hug a day keeps the blues away. Also, smiles are truly contagious. :)
What Gives Me Hope
The sight of a sunset and sunrise. And watching a child pick up litter and throw it away or place in the recycle bin, as appropriate.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
What was that Coke ad (back in the 70's I believe)? -- "I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony...."
What/who changed my life and why
My Mom, who I miss very much. No matter my antics, she always encouraged me to be just that: ME. But in truth there are four women from my life who have had profound impact: My Mother. Doctor Kay McGowan, my anthropology professor, who showed me how strong a woman really can be while still being feminine. Carol Jarvis-Kirkendal, who knew to utilize a moose hand puppet to help a frightened little girl delve inside herself to tell a bit of her story and begin her journey to healing. And last, but never least, my best (human) friend, Mareth, who is my Spirit Sister. I think that says it all.
