My boyfriend is almost ten years younger than me ;)
Be gentle with yourself. Be kind to yourself. You may not be perfect, but you are all youve got to work with. The process of becoming who you will be begins first with the total acceptance of who you are.
What Gives Me Hope
Children who try to make a difference. My son raised over a thousand dollars for the American Heart Association and refused the prizes, so that they could be given to a sick child. Whenever I feel hopeless, that gives me inspiration.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
I'd force power plants to depend more on solar energy and less on nuclear, until we were completely free of that dangerous radioactive nuclear power.
What/who changed my life and why
Jesus, because he saved me from certain eternal damnation. If you mean a living person? That would be my boyfriend, Jay Yeasmin, who taught me the value of patience in an unjust world.
Yay! Thanks to all the petition signatures I've been gathering, I've been able to harvest 3000 credits per day. So today I donated my third sudanese seed packet and offset one pound of carbon. I only have ten credits left but thats okay because tomorrow I will have another 3000!
All I need is five more credits today and I will be able to feed another kitten, in addition to the seed packet. Just realized that Care2 limits the amount of butterfly credits you can get per petition to a thousand per day. I guess I understand why but its frustrating.
Wow, the power of petitions in regards to butterfly credits is staggering. I have 800 more points today than I expected to have. I am saving for a seed packet, which I expected to take 5 days at minimum but at this rate I should be able to buy it in two days max. The only question is whether to spend the 800 excess points on a separate cause (like feeding a kitten) or go ahead and save them toward the seed packet. Decisions, decisions...
Today I managed to harvest 2,300 points in one day, thanks to signatures on my many petitions. Not too shabby, eh?
That brought me to 2,800 points. I decided to spend 700 credits on bottlefeeding a kitten (in honor of Jay and our two cats Pouncer and Ashes who we love like children) and to offset four pounds of carbon, bringing it to an even total of 50 total pounds of carbon offset by yours truly.
At this moment I have 1,913 credits left, which will be saved toward a seed packet. At the rate I am going I should be able to donate one at the end of the first week of January. Woot!
