The fragility of modern love

There are some conservative reflections, however the tone of the author is of anxiety by the human feelings, a confused emotion, aroused by the rush to find the perfect pair, but contradictorily, live relationships with large exit doors for new encounters, because dissatisfaction is more present in relationships than affectivity. Those are very different things; having a partner, exchanging affection and commitment. It's about this relationship that makes love a liquid feeling that Bauman is talking about. It is in this context that the modern life is condemning us to live in a society with no roots.  

People are prioritizing artificial relationships that can be added or deleted  with equal facility, however, it would be naive to blame technological facilities by the continuing retreat of proximity, the face to face in human relations. Men and women move in various directions looking for love affairs, trying to believe that the next step will be the best. The modern world is filled with mixed and  liquid signals, abbreviated phrases that change the meaning very rapidly and replaces the quality of relationships by quantity, which is fatal to our ability to love.

Over his  80´s, living in London, Zygmunt Bauman is one of the most respected sociologists alive and he stated that he does not believe that there can be something like a perfect society, he says that life is like a short blanket, when it covers the nose the feet are cold, and when it cover the feet, the nose is frozen.
