Someone once asked me why I thought we are here. I believe it's to love each other, take care of each other and respect each other. I also believe that every moment each of us, no matter how small we think we are, can make the world a better place. Even a small token like a smile or a thank you can make all the difference to someone else. The way to peace is love ~ let's love one another!

A young girl is walking through a meadow when she sees a butterfly impaled upon a thorn. Very carefully she releases it and the butterfly starts to fly away. Then it comes back and changes into a beautiful good fairy. "For your kindness," she tells the little girl, "I will grant you your fondest wish." The little girl thinks for a moment and replies, "I want to be happy." The fairy leans toward her and whispers in her ear and then suddenly vanishes.

As the girl grew, no one in the land was more happy than she. Whenever anyone asked her for the secret of her happiness, she would only smile and say, "I listened to a good fairy."

As she grew quite old, the neighbors were afraid the fabulous secret might die with her. "Tell us, please," they begged, "tell us what the fairy said." The now lovely old lady simply smiled and said, "She told me that everyone, no matter how secure they seemed, had need of me!"

We all need each other.

About Me	Tree-hugging/dirt worshiping nature freak, Beatlemaniac, poet, musician, bohemian, shower singer, lima bean/polka dots/stripes hater, New York Rangers fan, star gazer, beach bum, goddess daughter of Hawaiian and Gaelic roots, believer in dreams and the paradise I believe the world is meant to be. Growing up in San Francisco in the 60s, I still believe love is the answer. My totems are the butterfly and the lion. Like a butterfly I am always growing and changing, and like the lion I'm fiercely devoted to and protective of those I love. And like many a Libra, I'm a hopeful romantic. I love mushy songs and mushy movies. If it has a happy ending I cry, if it has a sad ending I cry. Barry White could bring me to my knees. I love flowers and love letters. And I'm very affectionate with the people I love and let them know all the time how I feel about them. I think it's the most important thing we can do for the people who mean the most to us.
