  Dear God, please send me someone           
  who ll care,

  My body is aching it s racked with pain
  Dear God, I pray as I m running in the rain
  that someone will love me and give me
  A Home, and a warm, cozy bed

  My owner neglected me, and chased me
  away,
  to rummage in garbage and live as a
  Stray,

  I m tired and hungry and cold
  and I m afraid that I ll never grow old
  They ve chased me with sticks and hit me
  with stones
  whilst I run in the streets looking
  for bones,

  I m not bad, Please help if you can,
  I m just a Victim of Man

  I m wormy and ridden with fleas
  all I want is a loving home, please!
  If you find one I ll try to be good
  I won t run away and I ll do as I should

  I won t make it  long on my own,
  cause I m getting weak and I m all alone
