Wild Fact About Me	I quit smoking and was told to do something for myself. I didn't like the idea so I decided to take some of the money that I was saving and sponsor a child. What better way could I spend the money. He's great and is like me...likes art!
My Philosophy	Be kind to others. You never know when you might need them.
What Gives Me Hope	When a new graduate makes sure that I get an invite to her graduation knowing that I wouldn't be able to make it. (She in Texas and me in Pennsylvania). When a young person waits on me at the store and actually converses with me and says "Thank You"! I know there's still hope.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by	If I were President, I would abolish Democrat/Republican parties. It causes rift between people during election time. Then I would rid both the state and federal government of career politicians. If they can't get things done in four years....bye! (Teddy the toad would have been gone a long time ago!)
What/who changed my life and why	It has to be a person, a chaplain. It happened in Vietnam. I just got out of the hospital after almost losing my leg. Church services were being performed out in the bush that day so I went. Asked the chaplain for a St. Christopher medal but he had none. Gave me a St. Michael's medal. Still not sure why he's a saint. (I'm not Catholic) The next day I was put on guard duty and it was hot. Decided to make a lean-to and crawled in...putting my hand down on "green plastic". The plastic is what is wrapped around an explosive to keep the powder and detonator dry. Luckily I didn't press hard enough. Later I learned that it was fully functional. I still say that my visit to the services and the medal saved me.
