New ~ Vintage ~ Refurbished Recycled Toys, Appliances, Clothing, Electronics, Housewares, Stuffed animals We help find homes for unwanted toys and other items. Our store is saving the environment by keeping usable items and batteries out of the landfill.
OUR HISTORY Rescuing toys since 2001. Our founder accidentally discovered that many toys were being thrown away. Realizing the limited available landfill and inspired by “island of misfit toys”, unwanted items were taken home and refurbished. The toys were placed online exposing them to a larger world market and the increased possibility of finding a home. Our official store opened in 2003 and we now have 2 locations and a mobile rescue vehicle. Working with local thrift stores, charities, and the community we rescue slightly damaged, surplus toys and other items.
OUR PEOPLE We are a small humble group made up of family and friends.
OUR ITEMS 70% of our items were headed for the trash/ landfill. 30% of the items were overstock - surplus - discontinued - store returns - closeout clearances.
OUR WORKSHOP Just like Santas elves we work on toys year round. Each item may be washed, sanitized, soldered, sewn, glued, painted, lubricated, trimmed, tested, photographed, and inventoried. Toys we are unable to sell are donated to museums and various organizations for needy children.
YOUR PURCHASE/ DOLLARS We are solely sustained by your toy purchase. We have No grants or loans – No sponsorships or benefactors. Portions go toward rescuing more toys, opening new locations, and purchasing equipment Portions will also be supporting Goodwill, Salvation Army and clean – refurbished free toys to churches, museums and needy families
