Honesty and a sense of humour are what I highly value. I have the heart of a poet and a scientific mind. I am well read, and I enjoy analysing poetry and literature. I am especially fascinated by the HEALTH SCIENCES, and have a strong interest in PSYCHOLOGY. I am a fan of cinema (esp. Sci-Fi), live theatre and music. My interests are quite varied, and I'm open to new experiences. I love ANIMALS and OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES. I'm looking for like-minded male and female friends with common interests to hang out with in Montreal.
I am very sentimental and down-to-earth. Don't let my initial shyness fool you I can be quite talkative when you get to know me! I'm an open book with those I trust, and I hope you are too. I'm a self-confident, passionate woman, who cares deeply about family and friends. I strongly empathize with people, and try to be supportive in any way I can. Despite the challenges I've faced in life, I still consider myself an optimist and a hopeless romantic. Poetry and sappy movies aren't lost on me. LOL
Would be great if you'd remind me when not to take life too seriously, let loose, and HAVE FUN!
I have two (dog-friendly) short-haired cats that "own" my apartment. Mickey & Pandora, are 11 year-old sisters. Mickey is a spunky silver Tabby who sometimes grooms my guests. Pandora is a gentle, sleek, black cat who likes to sleep on top of my computer screen while I chat. While I haven't quite figured out this website, my cats are computer literate enough that they have their own websites. :-P The family pooch, Tatianna, is a 10 year-old Irish Setter who lives with my mom in Montreal. Her enthusiam for life is contagious.
As many of my friends know, I'm a BUFFY-fanatic, I'm enthralled by the "Phantom of the Opera"(2004), and I have a shameless addiction to late-night PBS documentaries.
Every little bit counts. Speak up for those (humans/animals) who have no voice.
What Gives Me Hope
When I've helped match up animals and potential guardians at the SPCA. When everyone does their part to recycle and picks up litter in public spaces.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Shutting down the puppymills. Make it mandatory that 50% of animals in petshops have to come from non-profit shelters, and the rest should come from reputable breeders. Evidence of animal cruelty should be punishable with significant jail time.
What/who changed my life and why
Ask me...not enough space here to write about it all. :)
