    Please help sufferers of Pernicious Anaemia in the UK
    Pernicious Anaemia is caused when your body is no longer able to absorb the vitamin B12. Common symptoms include tiredness, lethargy, depression, mood swings, dizziness, hair loss, pins and needles in hands and feet, headaches, loss of memory & hyperacidity. A gradual onset of symptoms occurs, but as everyone is different, sufferers may well not have all of these.
    In 1934 Dr Murphy identified the cause of PA, and stated "... adequate maintenance dosage varies with the needs of each patient." However, the NHS will only provide B12 injections to patients every 3 months, regardless of the severity of the symptoms.
