Just something to ponder...

Before you run off signing these petitions encouraging lawmakers to grant "the morning-after pill" OTC status, please consider what you are signing. I am a strong supporter of Plan B and pro-choice, but as someone who works in pharmacy, I see the possibilities that lie ahead if Plan B goes OTC. I believe that it SHOULD remain RX only simply because I know from past experience that it really would merely encourage misuse. People do NOT read or comprehend warning labels on OTC drugs. Plan B contains high doses of hormones and can be dangerous if taken incorrectly (or too frequently). I just ask that you consider all possibilities before advocating this issue.
