In 2005 I Dutch/German Horst Heveling came to the Philippines to start a new life. Horst saw that the Philippines are a paradise for tourists but not for many people living there. The income is low or lower than low. A farmer earns only about 70 Peso daily (1.10$/1€). The other jobs are not better. With that money you cannot pay a doctor because you have to live of something. So Horst Heveling decided to help making the system better. In 2009 he created the idea of Helphealth-Philippines. It was frustrating how little support he got. Now, in 2010 there are hopeful signs. The first donations arrived and he got a donation in kind (price: 700 €) in February 2010.
From this moment he was not alone any more, some volunteers join mission:

Our missions will be and are already:
1. The support of communal Health-Centers
Health-Centers are little Hospitals for everybody, who can’t pay a consultation with own money. These Centers are placed nearly in every commune of the Philippines and they are run by the state. But the state has not enough budget to give full support to all Health-Center so they need our help. Just a little, in some eyes not really noteworthy cold can be very dangerous for little children. If then there is no doctor, who looks for them, the harmless cold becomes a virus infection and the child probably dies.
2. The financing of expensive surgeries
Health-Centers do not have enough resources for a big surgery but sometimes people need it. What if a mother needs a surgery that costs between 400 and 500 Dollars or more and she only has 10 Dollars (Situation in the Philippines)? Either she gets help or she has a problem. In such or similar cases we try to help.
3. The donation of clothes etc.
This is our last point until now. Like many organizations already do it in Africa or elsewhere we try to get second hand clothes, toys and school supplies (pencils, notebooks .....) for the poor people in our region.
Now you know our missions. But without support of what kind ever (money or donations in kind) we are not able to help as we would like to and as the people need it. So please be so human and support us! You have the guarantee that we are never going to sell any donations. When we get them, the people get them.
