You give us lumber to build our homes,
 and fire wood for cooking and heat.

You give us flowers for us to see,
 and fruit and nuts to eat.

You give us shade from the hot summer sun,
 and homes for birds and bees.

You give us the most important need for life,
 the oxygen we need to breathe.

You protect the land from erosion,
 and washing into the sea.

You give us oh so very much,
 even a place for my dog to pee.
