Canadian lynx, Aspen

Aspen is a declawed Canadian lynx living at Wildlife on Wheels, a Southern California animal sanctuary. He was given up by a breeder who originally intended to raise Aspen to maturity for his pelt.

Aspen, now three years old, had reparative surgery in 2002 to relieve the pain in his paws, which was caused by having been declawed as a cub. His operation was funded through a generous private donation to The Paw Project.
