About Me I am an open-minded Christian and a reader of The Urantia Book. I am Liberal and Progressive, an Avowed Socialist and Non-Violent Anarchist... just like Jesus. I adhere to the teachings of Jesus, and I do not believe in organised religion. I also share in King Arthur's vision of a United Kingdom of Earth, incorruptible, where all people are free and equal... and regardless of one's status in life, all are guaranteed the 7 basic Human rights of: quality food and water (which includes a clean environment), adequate housing, proper clothing, excellent healthcare, superb education, infallible safety, and uncompromised security. One race - Human, one nation - Earth, one destiny - Our Future. Resistance is futile, live long and prosper... in the Light.

I hate alcoholics and most (but not all) republicans, and I loathe everything redneck. My IQ is 142... yay! I am smart and socially-retarded. And I actually have an attention span. But I am moody at times. I also have mild autism and occasional synesthesia. I am a lightning rod of controversy and a legend in my own mind. It was once said of me: "Republicans and scoundrels alike shall rue the day you become an omnipotent power." Cool, eh?

I respect and trust the principled ethics of dedicated Scientists, Diplomats and Philosophers, more so than the feigned morality of religious zealots and other right-wing nutjobs who are nothing more than greedy, corrupt, money-whoring, corporate-fascist, control freaks.

Until WE ALL successfully address the issues of global climate change and Human rights, EVERYTHING else is just trivial details.

-------------------------------------------
My Philosophy The Urantia Book, the teachings of Jesus. God is love. Love is the desire to do good to others. Love one another. Love without rules. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Resistance is futile, live long and prosper... in the Light. Comprenez-vous ?

"God's Infinite Power:
Light, that is, light without heat, is another of the nonspiritual manifestations of God. And there is still another form of nonspiritual energy which is virtually unknown on Earth; it is as yet unrecognised." ~ The Urantia Book (page 47)

"Progressive Civilisation:
Idealism can never survive on an evolving planet if the idealists in each generation permit themselves to be exterminated by the baser orders of Humanity. And here is the great test of idealism: Can an advanced society maintain that military preparedness which renders it secure from all attack by its war-loving neighbours without yielding to the temptation to employ this military strength in offensive operations against other peoples for purposes of selfish gain or national aggrandisement? National survival demands preparedness, and religious idealism alone can prevent the prostitution of preparedness into aggression. Only love, brotherhood, can prevent the strong from oppressing the weak." ~ The Urantia Book (pages 804-805)

"Cleansing The Temple:
To the amazement of his apostles, standing near at hand, who refrained from participation in what so soon followed, Jesus stepped down from the teaching platform and, going over to the lad who was driving the cattle through the court, took from him his whip of cords and swiftly drove the animals from the temple. But that was not all; he strode majestically before the wondering gaze of the thousands assembled in the temple court to the farthest cattle pen and proceeded to open the gates of every stall and to drive out the imprisoned animals. By this time the assembled pilgrims were electrified, and with uproarious shouting they moved toward the bazaars and began to overturn the tables of the money-changers. In less than five minutes all commerce had been swept from the temple. By the time the near-by Roman guards had appeared on the scene, all was quiet, and the crowds had become orderly; Jesus, returning to the speaker's stand, spoke to the multitude: "You have this day witnessed that which is written in the Scriptures: 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations, but you have made it a den of robbers.'"
This cleansing of the temple discloses the Master's attitude toward commercialising the practices of religion as well as his detestation of all forms of unfairness and profiteering at the expense of the poor and the unlearned. This episode also demonstrates that Jesus did not look with approval upon the refusal to employ force to protect the majority of any given Human group against the unfair and enslaving practices of unjust minorities who may be able to entrench themselves behind political, financial, or ecclesiastical power. Shrewd, wicked, and designing men are not to be permitted to organise themselves for the exploitation and oppression of those who, because of their idealism, are not disposed to resort to force for self-protection or for the furtherance of their laudable life projects." ~ The Urantia Book (pages 1,890-1,891)

"The Profit Motive:
Present-day profit-motivated economics is doomed unless profit motives can be augmented by service motives. Ruthless competition based on narrow-minded self-interest is ultimately destructive of even those things which it seeks to maintain. Exclusive and self-serving profit motivation is incompatible with Christian ideals---much more incompatible with the teachings of Jesus.
In economics, profit motivation is to service motivation what fear is to love in religion. But the profit motive must not be suddenly destroyed or removed; it keeps many otherwise slothful mortals hard at work. It is not necessary, however, that this social energy arouser be forever selfish in its objectives.
The profit motive of economic activities is altogether base and wholly unworthy of an advanced order of society; nevertheless, it is an indispensable factor throughout the earlier phases of civilisation. Profit motivation must not be taken away from men until they have firmly possessed themselves of superior types of nonprofit motives for economic striving and social serving---the transcendent urges of superlative wisdom, intriguing brotherhood, and excellency of spiritual attainment." ~ The Urantia Book (page 805)

"As Jesus Passed By:
Jesus was never in a hurry. He had time to comfort his fellow men "as he passed by." And he always made his friends feel at ease. He was a charming listener. He never engaged in the meddlesome probing of the souls of his associates. As he comforted hungry minds and ministered to thirsty souls, the recipients of his mercy did not so much feel that they were confessing to him as that they were conferring with him. They had unbounded confidence in him because they saw he had so much faith in them.
He never seemed to be curious about people, and he never manifested a desire to direct, manage, or follow them up. He inspired profound self-confidence and robust courage in all who enjoyed his association. When he smiled on a man, that mortal experienced increased capacity for solving his manifold problems.
Jesus loved men so much and so wisely that he never hesitated to be severe with them when the occasion demanded such discipline. He frequently set out to help a person by asking for help. In this way he elicited interest, appealed to the better things in Human nature.
The Master could discern saving faith in the gross superstition of the woman who sought healing by touching the hem of his garment. He was always ready and willing to stop a sermon or detain a multitude while he ministered to the needs of a single person, even to a little child. Great things happened not only because people had faith in Jesus, but also because Jesus had so much faith in them.
Most of the really important things which Jesus said or did seemed to happen casually, "as he passed by." There was so little of the professional, the well-planned, or the premeditated in the Master's earthly ministry. He dispensed health and scattered happiness naturally and gracefully as he journeyed through life. It was literally true, "He went about doing good."
And it behooves the Master's followers in all ages to learn to minister as "they pass by"--to do unselfish good as they go about their daily duties." ~ The Urantia Book (pages 1,874-1,875)

What Gives Me Hope God, Life, Light, 47, Thursdays

-------------------------------------------
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by Executing most (but not all) republicans (just kidding... sort of). Definitely giving the Death Penalty to the traitor Karl Rove (Death by Swine), as well as to the War Criminals George Bush I and George Bush II. Extraditing all of Bush's thugs and cronies (Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condi Rice, etc.) to The Hague to stand trial in International Criminal Court (ICC) on charges of War Crimes, Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity, Murder, Terrorism, Treason, Torture, Violation of International Treaties, Illegal Spying and Unlawful Domestic Surveillance, Corruption, Theft, Fraud, Money-Laundering, Embezzlement, Manipulation, Elections Fraud, Dereliction of Duty, Failure of Oath of Office, and Betrayal of Public Trust. FOREVER putting an end to all forms of corruption by making "Betrayal of Public Trust" a crime punishable by death, NO EXCEPTIONS. "Crimes Against Humanity" and "War Cimes", as well as so-called "white collar crimes", all punishable by immediate death, also with no exceptions. Passing stronger legislation banning hydrogenated oils, refined sugars, and rednecks everywhere. Abolishing the 'Corporate Entity' "personhood" as a legal status, as well as putting an end to corporate dresscodes and piss tests... freedom of expression and what a person does on their own time, as long as no others are being harmed, ARE NONE OF YOUR DAMNED BUSINESS. GET OVER YOURSELF, HYPOCRITE! Making "Universal Healthcare" actually available and applicable to ALL, and fully-funding stem cell research IMMEDIATELY. Also fully-funding the research of Dr. Ronald Mallett, architect of the blueprint for time-travel. Fully-funding the research of Canadian inventor Troy Hurtubise, thereby saving countless lives now and in future. Fully-reversing the "dumbing-down of America" that Ronald Reagan started, which created the idiotic "Me Generation", by FULLY-FUNDING EDUCATION IMMEDIATELY and raising the requirements and the standards of education for teachers and for students. Mandatory foreign language requirements from pre-school/kindergarten through college; beginning in 6th grade, studying a foreign language of one's own choosing, and requiring "Competent Fluency" in that language before being permitted to graduate from high school. A 2nd foreign language, of one's own choosing, to study in college, with "Competent Fluency" required before graduation from college. Higher-standard English requirements throughout all of one's education... ef u kant spel er speek "Proper English", u b faled! 'Nuff sed. Getting rid of school dresscodes everywhere, they do not solve anything and they only make problems worse. Requiring Geography in the curriculum from 1st grade through college. If you cannot find Russia, Europe, or Africa, or some other obvious location on a map, you will be sent back to 1st grade to start over again regardless of your age ("That wood be kewl, Beavith!" "You sed WOOD, Butt-Head, he-he."). Requiring "Competency in Science" in order to graduate from high school and from college, even if one chooses not to pursue a career as a scientist. Physical education requirements daily, beginning no later than 3rd grade, and continuing through high school and college. Lowering the voting age to 16 years old, while at the same time implementing a "Wisdom Scale Ballot" (i.e., the wisest citisens get 10 ballots to cast, whilst the intellectually-inferior citisens receive less than 1 whole ballot; and the rest of the population receives between 1 and 9 ballots, commensurate to the individual's experience and intelligence). Campaigning will be reduced to only the 2 weeks prior to elections, and elections will be held for 10 consecutive days beginning on the 2nd Tuesday of November, thereby allowing everyone ample opportunity to vote (I bet the republicans hate that one!). Any "mud-slinging" or lies during campaigning will result in the immediate ending of that particular candidate's campaign, although said candidate will still remain eligible for election. Abolishing the Electoral College completely and forever; COUNTING AND VERIFYING every single ballot in every election, without exception. Allowing UN Monitors to observe all elections for irregularities, no exceptions. Abolishing the two-party system, and allowing any and all parties who wish to participate. Issuing driver's licences and marriage licences to no one under the age of 25 years old, with mandatory one-year certified training before being allowed to acquire a driver's licence or a marriage licence. Also mandatory one-year parental training for anyone who wishes to have a child. And allowing no one to have a child until they ADOPT AT LEAST ONE CHILD, no exceptions. Fully-implementing the Millennium Development Goals and ACTUALLY rigorously pursuing them. Making housing affordable for ALL. If you do not like it, you are more than welcome to LEAVE... go to a foreign land, murder the natives, claim the land for yourself, form your own government, uhmm... no, wait a minute, that has already been done before. Shutting down all credit card companies immediately, and abolishing credit cards forever. Get over it. Banning ALL commercial advertising on TV and radio everywhere, and replacing it with public service announcements/news you can use/and educational information only. Forcibly SHUTTING DOWN ALL DRUG COMPANIES, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; confiscating all of their research and profits, and handing all of it to every one of the doctors and scientists who have always maintained their professional integrity, ethical standards, and academic honesty. Giving Dr. Andrew Weil a lifetime appointment to head the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and tasking him to restore its scientific integrity and credibility. Appointing Ralph Nader and Al Gore to jointly-head the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and charging them to restore its scientific integrity and credibility. Appointing Dr. Larry Dossey and Dr. Deepak Chopra to take charge of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the American Medical Association (AMA), and tasking them to whip these organisations into shape once and for all. Passing legislation making organ donation mandatory upon death of medically-acceptable individuals, with no exceptions. Anyone not wishing to be buried or cremated, may have their remains donated to medical science for research or educational purposes. Putting all automobile manufacturers and oil companies On-Notice: "Eco-friendly NOW, or get shutdown!" And making the Kyoto Protocol, as well as any post-Kyoto treaty, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. Putting all cell phone companies, internet service providers (ISPs), cable companies, telephone and long-distance companies On-Notice: "Higher Quality and Lower Rates NOW, or get shutdown!" Then changing my official title to "His Royal Majesty, King Lawrence of Canadia". Oh, and of course outlawing war, genocide, hate, poverty, homelessness, hunger, pollution, and Global Warming, and making STUPIDITY a crime punishable by being sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, as well as sterilising all stupid people so that they cannot procreate, ever. And forcing the U.S. Government to pay all of its debts, as well as pay all of its dues to the United Nations, IN FULL WITH INTEREST; FIRING Congress if the budget is not balanced at the end of every fiscal year. Then adopting the Euro as the national currency, and abolishing the "minimum wage" and replacing it with a "Livable Wage". Permanently abolishing all income tax, while legalising and decriminalising marijuana. Allowing all Canadian scientific research of lysergic acid diethylamide, LSD or "acid", to be made freely available and easily-accessible to scientists and to the American public. Declaring Bastille Day and Boxing Day as national holidays. Also making March 8th, September 8th and September 21st national holidays. And finally, giving Angelina Jolie a life-time appointment as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. And it is all but a day's work, do it well. Afterwards, travelling the world and personally selecting candidates for my Royal Harem... it is good to be king. :)

But be not discouraged; some day a real musician may appear on Earth, and whole peoples will be enthralled by the magnificent strains of his melodies. One such Human Being could forever change the course of a whole nation, even the entire civilised world. It is literally true, "melody has power a whole world to transform." "The events of the last ten years have not resolved, but sharpened, the three great challenges I spoke of – an unjust world economy, world disorder, and widespread contempt for Human rights and the rule of law. As a result, we face a world whose divisions threaten the very notion of an international community, upon which this institution stands. And yet this is happening at the very time when, more than ever before, Human Beings throughout the world form a single society. So many of the challenges we face are global. They demand a global response, in which all peoples must play their part. Yes, I remain convinced that the only answer to this divided world must be a truly United Nations." ~ Former Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Farewell Address to the 61st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, 19 September 2006

"The message is more important than the messenger."

"I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ." ~ Gandhi
