Some women follow the rules and don't rock the boat. They stay home and mind their men, children and homes. They keep the candle lit and smile during Sunday sermons.
I'd love to tell you I'm one of them.
I am the first to raise my voice when I sense an injustice or when the rules oppress the minority. I challenge the "moral majority" to respect the US Constitution, Geneva Conventions and the Kyoto Protocols. I challenge you to rethink the myths and fables you learned in the church. Are we really the Chosen Ones? Who are we fighting and what are we really fighting for? Is it worth killing and dying for? Would an unconditionally loving creator approve?
I don't always know what I want but I definitely know what I don't want. I don't want to be less than or more than my partner. I don't want to be kept at home or the sole supporter. I don't want to be bored or unforgiven. Nothing riles me up more than being abandoned or ignored. I'm very self-sufficient but don't mistake that I need to be held and valued.
