About Me

I find that I am still on a journey to realizing all my possible selves. I enjoy many things and have a large range of interests. I love animals and hope to someday have a small herd of animal friends I can care for. I am very interested in preserving the environment, helping charities, programs for children and elderly, and helping out those who have less than me. I love to garden, read, and tinker on various craft projects to keep me busy. I like camping, hiking, and regular exercise to keep my body healthy. Above all, I am trying to realize my greatest aspirations a little at a time!

Wild Fact About Me

After my first year of college, I took off on a year long road-trip. I visited Alaska, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, and many new parts of Washington. It was a tremendous exercise in personal responsibility and how much I really need to survive.

My Philosophy

Each person has the responsibility to reach out a helping hand to those around them. It is our humanly duty to be there for each other.

What Gives Me Hope

Children laughing, birds chirping, and the enduring beauty of a sunrise or a sunset.

If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by

I would renegotiate our country's energy usage policies. I believe this would go a long way to helping our environment in the long run, and stimulate our economy in the short term. I would make recycling and mass transit mandatory.

What/who changed my life and why

Ecotopia and Ecotopia Emerging, both by Ernest Callenbach. They remind me that the environment is both our legacy and our responsibility. I also love 2150 AD by Thea Alexander as an enlightening guide to a more honest and generous lifestyle.
