If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
resign from office, because I would be corrupt and incompetent! However, in that case, I wouldn't want to resign, would I? I'd probably muddle on for a few years, hip-deep in corruption, until I was impeached and removed from office and probably arrested, disgraced, pilloried, excoriated, etc.
