Topher M. (0) 		Winter Blossom


White
velvet - rings of light jade,
which crack and crumble,
fall
to the ground like fresh snow.


The trees lie bare now.
Their leaves are all gone.
Lost
forever
within the cold mists
that shroud the fields of oat and wheat.


The cores of the passion flower
crack
with the cold.
Pouring its sacred juice
from it's deep throat.
The pure snow
is now stained forever crimson.


Arises Eos
and embraces the cold Gaia
in her golden arms.
Her icy, intangible manacles
are now severed.
The land returns to warmth and plenty.


Within the grasslands and the fields
newly sprouted winter blossoms grow.
