About Me |
Happy the way I am. Divorced three times. Good friends with all my living ex-husbands and their wives and kids.
Very knowledgeable about politics, 9/11,and India, my favorite country among other things. I almost got my Current Events Group thrown off county property for giving a presentation on 9/11 until the Houston Chronicle stepped in and forced the County Commissioner to confirm his belief in the First Amendment.
I'm the person my friends call when they want a quick answer to a question. I might be the person called for help on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", if I actually knew anyone who even watched it. Which I hope I don't.
I have been in the Travel Industry for over 20 years, been to 62 countries, owned my own company and expanded our services to include designing and producing tours for Museum Patrons Groups, the highest level of tours, all first class air and super deluxe accommodations. We often met with Members of Parliament in Europe or Maharajas in India, Dr. Zahi Hawass in Egypt, head of the Dept. of Antiquities, would meet with us and give us permission to visit archaelogical digs that were not open to the public. We did things that no other company could do.
Lived in Costa Rica for 9 years and traveled around Central America. Still "own" a house there. More about that some other time.
I have a lake cabin in central Texas where I go to get away from Houston and "cut some brush" as Geore W. pretends. I'll bet I've cut more brush than he has.
I'm a devout progressive and can't stand anyone who espouses conservative "values", which I think is a lack thereof and a cover-up for extreme selfishness.
As you can tell, I have strong views and love to discuss various topics but I try to back my opinions with fact and expect the other parties to do so as well. |

Wild Fact About Me |
I was a model, look "upper class" (a genetic deficiency) but love to stay in weird out of the way places, like a castle in Jaisalmer, in India that was made out of an adobe that included camel dung. It was great until you got in the shower and it created mud puddles around your feet, or the hotel in South India that cost $3 per night where monkeys would come into my room and steal things and when I went to the restaurant to order Chicken Fried Rice, they said. Is that all? Do want us to kill the chicken for that? So I had Vegetable Fried Rice and the chicken lived another day. |
My Philosophy |
Live and Let Live |
What Gives Me Hope |
Not much unless people realize that we are in an abusive relationship with this administration. I have long believed in what has come to be known as "Lifeboating" where you have to have your "little piece of land" to quote from Woody Allen's "Love and Death" and figure out how to make it, substantially, on your own. George is making this nightmare come true. |
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by |
We have a great Mayor, Bill White, who could be a wonderful president so I won't go there.
This country needs a Green Revolution. We need to make the tax system progressive again and take some of the billions of dollars amassed by the top 1/10th of 1% and use it to upgrade the energy efficiency of our housing, support real renewable energy, not Ethanol, which is a net energy loss and help local communities with public transportation. In addition to the obvious environmental benefits, this would give Americans GOOD JOBS, that couldn't be outsourced. Also-do away with deregulation, if we could trust anyone in government to enact fair legislation.
Lastly, everyone who can should work from home and save all the additional time and energy wasted by the daily grind of commuting. |
