Spiritual Rebel
Hi!  My name is Velcrow Ripper, and I'm a documentary filmmaker, and a rebel for truth and love. I'm in the midst of “The FIerce Light Project”, a cycle of feature documentaries, creative non-fiction novels, webcasts and conferences driven by the search for possibility in a time of darkness, centered on the question: how can we turn end times into new beginnings? It is fueled by the belief that these tumultuous times are the growing pains of the planet, as we grope our way through a stormy adolescence towards a spiritual maturity, in the midst of very real threats of global collapse.


We are currently distributing ScaredSacred, a feature documentary, which is part 1 of the trilogy, based on my five year journey to the ground zero's of the world, in search of stories of transformation in the face of crisis. After picking up awards at festivals around the world, ScaredSacred has been launched theatrically with tremendous sucess and is now out on DVD. I'm now beginning the release of FierceLight:When Spirit Meets Action, part two of the Fierce Light trilogy, about the rising phenomena of 'Spiritual Activism' that is unfolding around the world. Contemporary stories in the vein of Gandhi and Martin Luther King.
