Hello and welcome to my page here at care2,.... thank you for dropping by, it is appreciated. Below you will find information about me as well as logos of a few of the various groups, organizations, foundations, associations, etc. of which I am member and support. I am blessed in that I can follow my heart and have the means in which to support many causes,... I give thanks for this blessing every day. I understand not everyone has the means in which to support the many causes they may wish to, that's ok. Even if one can manage to support just one or a few or even just do the daily clicks for free here at Care2 as well as other sites or give what they can when they can, it all matters and is greatly appreciated. I have found through my activism activities over the years that virtually everyone can always do something if they wish to do so. It doesn't matter how small the effort or cause it does indeed make a huge difference. Again, thank you and may your days be blessed with abundance, good health and may you always find something to smile about and to uplift your heart and spirits. *************************RJ Sacred Owl Wolf
Honest, direct, educated, committed, dedicated, passionate, flexible, open minded, aware, world traveler, adventurer, musician, artist, producer, humanist, lover of people, Earth Mother and all life, nonjudgmental but uncompromising on basic principles of respect, dignity, honesty, trust, peace, non avarice, tolerance, human-animal-civil rights, love of all cultures and arts, native american indian/irish american (cherokee/blackfeet/tuscarora/cheyenne and raised by adopted father's Apache family). Speak various languages. I am a multi-disciplined artist/musician/producer/photographer and journalist (among many other things) that owns and operates several art, media, music & film/photography production businesses I use to create value, to give back more than I take, and support the many causes dear to my heart and spirit. I live rurally and very remotely on a wilderness property and mountain ranch where I am currently developing an educational and healing center and retreat to be in operation by 2009. I am always open to meeting kindred spirits and people of good heart anytime. But please understand that I am usually extremely busy with work, my volunteer activities (locally and beyond), the demands of caring for this place where I live as well as caring for my wonderful family. I also travel a great deal. So please forgive me if I am not as readily available or in touch as often as most people usually are and/or as one might expect. My inability to be in constant contact in no way should be construed to indicate any lack of concern, caring, appreciation or interest on my part,... it is merely the reality of my life and indicates nothing personal as regards anyone else. Thank you. Wishing you much peace and many blessings.
My native american names reflect my nature, roughly translated as Sacred Owl Wolf, Eyes Of The Wolf Lodge Fire Seeing Far
My Philosophy
Live life to the fullest with passion, full immersion, directness, no fear or animosity, with honesty and integrity, to be the change I wish to see. To take the road less traveled and embrace challenge. To leave the world a better place than it was when i came into it, to do more good than harm, no regrets.
What Gives Me Hope
Sunrises, sunsets, moon and stars, a smile, tears, friends, small everyday victories, children, love, respect, human kindness and compassion, the ability to endure and persevere in the face of adversity. Sites like here at Care2 and all the great people doing what they can here.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Enact aggressive programs for education and active sustainable living and conservation of natural resources and wild places policies, reduce dependence on fossil fuels by promoting aggressive development and investment in alternative and sustainable energy sources, mandate stricter and more fair human rights, civil rights, women's & children rights and indigenous peoples rights legislation.
What/who changed my life and why
Really too many to list, but surviving many natural disasters, warfare, cancer and other life threatening challenges. Living among various indigenous cultures, and having lived among some of the world's poor. I learn from all things, all people and events, each day and event is another opportunity to learn and grow for me. Everyone I have ever loved, even if they did not love me in return,... and everyone who has ever loved me. My adversaries and enemies.
We are all related. To thine own self be true. Be the change you wish yo see. Women hold up the world, they are the heart and blood of all that represents the best of who we are, what we have been and what we shall become. An open heart creates worlds beyond imagination and limits, a closed heart and mind is only a prison where little can be. There is no pure land or nation in and of it's self, whether a land or nation is pure or impure is determined within the hearts and minds of the people who dwell there. The true greatness and measure of a nation and it's citizen's is not measured by the vastness and successes of it's armies, nor by the number of it's advances in economics, sciences and industry,... the true measure of a nation and it's people is determined by the manner and means in which it treats the least significant and least empowered of it's citizens, it's neighbors, and especially it's enemies. A life of love is a life of greatness. No accomplishment is greater than that of having the love and respect of one's family and many true friends. What has a person gained should they have gained the world but has lost their soul? When it comes to the choice between choosing success, status, wealth, security and prominence versus choosing poverty, anonymity, uncertainty, and principle,... the truly wise and victorious can only choose the latter. If you are not part of the solution, then you are the problem. Between good and evil, there is no middle ground. Opinions based upon speculation, belief, supposition or personal feelings and not based upon informed and verifiable facts, real experience and information are as useless and empty as are homes where no one lives. The truly happiest in life are those who embrace all challenges, face all fears with courage and resolve, who always move forward in spite of the odds and who accept nothing less than life embraced to it's fullest in all it's joys, pains, sorrows and glories. Fear is the death of all hope, change, improvement, or success. In life our truest and best friends are our enemies,... for only an enemy can challenge us in ways to make us stronger and more aware. Judge not lest ye be judged. Women Rock!
