I live in the nooks and the crannies of the Universe, Seeking out the darkness to bring the Light. Some call me God, Buddha, Brahma and Allah, Deemed I don't exist, I do not care, For I am The Magnificent!
I was a college party animal and sometimes wonder how I made it through those years.
My Philosophy
I've always believed that good deeds outweighed mere beliefs or thoughts. When I was a practicing bedside nurse, these deeds built up the positive side of my life's ledger. I got out of nursing nearly 20 years ago and have struggled to maintain that positive ledger. I still believe in the deeds philosophy and want to get back to that. I also believe in several wiccan principles that "if it harm no one, then do as ye will". and the 3:1 ratio of every good deed one does yields a return three fold. I want to get back to these beliefs and apply them in my life.
What Gives Me Hope
That fact that we can hope gives me hope. Anytime one is down, there is always hope for something better.
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
As President, I would re-tool our whole "world policy". I believe the phrases using "foreign policy" and other similar terms fosters a continued "us vs. them" mentality. Humanity's existence is completely interdependent; on itself as well as the rest of the natural world. Nearly everything humans do is counterproductive to realizing ultimate "happiness", "nirvana", "wholeness", "fullfilment", or whatever you want to call it. We need to be a shining Light to help lead humanity on that journey. We have a responsibility to do so.
What/who changed my life and why
I survived leg and lung clots from a leg injury in October 2006 and was a hair away from death. I prayed to God I would do something in exchange for survival. I just this December 2006 began reading about Kabbalah and saw signs that validated this interest. I found pennies which I find regularly and read passages in the particular Kabbalah piece referencing them in a story. My recent "penny finds" I dubbed "Pennies from Heaven". Several other seemingly random minor discoveries point to doing this at this time of my life. I have been searching for a systematic approcah to all aspects of my life and of everything I've read to date, this fits for me. So, this is my current quest, Kaballah.
"Don't touch me, I'm on Coumadin." I am recovering from DVT (;eg blood clots) and pulmonary emboli (lung clots) and am on anticoagulant therapy fro awhile, so I joke with my kids when we rough house to be careful, I could bleed out....
"Its the journey that matters."
"Don't play to look good, play to win". (my tennis battle cry).
