One voice, one vote, physically challenged advocate for human rights, social justice, and Mother Nature. With the fervent hope, the pen will be mightier then the sword.
Best known to my friends as Hawkeye, a name passed to me from my Father prior to his moveing on.
I’ve always been a fairly competitive person in that I’ve participated in sports of one kind or another from the time I was very young.
I played organized Ice Hockey from age 8 until 35.
Played mediocre golf in my twenties.
Crewed, none professionally, on racing yachts, from the Pacific West Coast to the Caribbean island of Antigua. Sailing allowed me to participate in some of the worlds largest and most prestigious Regattas, which in turn afforded me the opportunity to mingle, eat, sleep, drink, work, and party, shoulder to shoulder, so to speak, with some of the wealthiest people on the planet. An educational experience unlike any other, in that you learn a lot about people when all the trappings are set aside, when life and limb are at elevated risk and dependent on someone else doing their job, in common cause. Working at times in unison and others in diametric opposition too the dictates of some of the most fundamental and unforgiving elements, wind and sea.
Started Archery once I regained my land legs, after moving back to the States to NM at age 50. Strictly a paper puncher, (competitive target shooter) I’ve enjoyed some reasonable level of success, given my inordinately late introduction to the sport. Quite possibly an advantage in that I didn’t have time to develop too many bad habits or attempt too many shortcuts. I’ve successfully held the State Champion division titles for indoor and outdoor, Senior Olympic divisional Gold and Silver medals, in separate divisions, ranked among the top 30 in National indoor championships.

As Yanni said appreciate life as it is very fragile and short. So enjoy your day, be it spent in a whirlwind of family joys or quietly alone with a good book, a walk among nature, or with a special someone. Today Life is your Gift! I'm honored to spend this small part within it.
The two songs I chose to celebrate the new year of 2013 are Niki Nana meaning We Are One or as Lakota say Mitakuye Oyasin. The other song hails from the sixties but we need this as much today as then. Peace, we must speak up for Peace more often! Let 2012 be the end of the old ways 2013 the beginning of better ways. HAPPY NEW YEAR
