My Philosophy

I believe that every single person has a purpose in life, is unique and different, and that every person who crosses our path leaves a mark...nourishes our soul or teaches a lesson. The true self is a combination of the person's mind, heart, soul, and spirit, but not really the body, because it is always changing, independently from the changes of our inner being; therefore, the body is not our true self nor defines it, but is an instrument through which we express ourselves.

What Gives Me Hope

When I see that other people are also conscious of the problems of the world and are willing to do something to help.

I would assess the problems that I have at hand under my control, and try to correct them immediately. I would use my power to influence and advocate for improving society and the way people think and act that would be harming mankind and nature.

What/who changed my life and why

My mother, because she was a "war child" in Germany in WWII, and her experiences taught us about the true face of war, of suffering, of survival, of deceit, and how peace and love are the best option in life; she taught us the true meaning of love, humbleness, to be frugal, and how the simple things mean much more than materialistic behaviors; she taught us to count our blessings, to trust in the Lord, to learn something new every day, to be grateful, and to always be helpful without expecting rewards...only a word of thanks. I could never throw away leftover food knowing how many people fed on boiling a bone tied to a rope...day after day after day...and as it happened then, it is still happening today, somewhere in the world...
