I am living my dream of homesteading but plan on traveling extensively on land and water when I retire. I have been in health care for over 35 yrs. and am a Whole Health Educator as well. I manage the library's used book store.
I have many and varied interests. I love to explore. I love to hear the birds sing in the morning, feel the wind carressing my face and neck, flowing through my hair and the sun on my face. I love how my body feels as I dance. I love the night through which I walk, the scent of my flowers through my open windows. I love to hear the waves crashing onto the rocks, the roar of the sea and I love to roar back. I love to shuffle my feet through the leaves in the fall. I love to laugh. I love to toast next to the wood stove on a snowy or rainy day or steam the windows up while I bake. I would rather be outside than in.
I have four children, three of whom are on their own and one in HS. Also two grandchildren.
I own Rowanwood Farm and raise bees, chickens, ducks and sheep. I also have a ferret named Norman, dogs and cats. I grow vegetables, fruit, herbs and flowers all of which are raised nearly organically. I sell eggs, honey and use the wool from the sheep for fiber art.
I have begun the process of learning to make wine from what I grow on the farm. Even tho I don't drink wine makes a nice gift.
I have advocated and continue to advocate for human and animal rights and environmental issues.
I live in harmony with nature.
