About Me	Hmmm. . . Where to start? My name is John Aaron. I'm 27 years old. I am six-foot tall, dark brown hair with gray protruding through, and have baby blue eyes with green or gray tint in the center depending on my mood and the weather. (THOSE ARE MY REAL EYES IN MY PICTURES) I am not 140 pounds. I am not your cookie cutter, overly skinny gay boy. I am from the Midwest and am built heavy, like the rest of the men in my family. I prefer to call myself sturdy. LOL. Also, I am not one for games. If you fuck with me or my family or friends, I will declare war. So as long as you come at us correct, and be yourself, you will be fine. I have a good head on my shoulders and consider myself intelligent, and love conversations where I learn something of purpose. So if you are just into appearances, then I am probably not the boy you are looking for! I'm used to be VERY shy, and I still am sometimes. However, with the help of my friends I am working on over coming that. Chances are that I have probably browsed your profile but I was just to shy to send you a message to say Hi. Even when it comes to meeting new friends I am sometimes shy, but warm up to you after we meet up a few times, unless I meet you through one of my best-friends, who I consider family, and then as long as they trust you, you get (or become, depending on you look at it) an extension of their trust almost immediately. Over the last year and a half, I have become a totally different person, continually growing as a person with each new experience and friend that I incorporate into my life. And I can and do thank my best friends for that. They are my familia and I don't think that I would have ever come out of my shell if it had not been for them. They showed me what's out there and helped me perfect my "Fuck-it-all" attitude towards those who hate. LOL. I am an immigrant to Chicago, but feel like this is where I should have always been. I have been here since June of 2004, moving here from the St. Louis Metro area. I am the first one in my family to live back in Chicago in 3 generations. I have fallen completely in love with Chicago, its activities, restaurants, and the people here. The amount of culture that you get here is absolutely AMAZING! Chicago has been absolutely great for me. Being here has allowed me to evaluate my life and become more of what I am and what I want to be. I am still evaluating my life and making changes where necessary to get to where I want to be in the future, but I am happy with the person that I am turning into. I am much happier in general with life here because the pressures of being “normal” (aka straight) were too much for me in St. Louis. I have really learned a lot about myself since I have been here, mainly for those reasons. I am an avid cook, although, I rarely do anymore, even though I absolutely LOVE creating a new meal completely from scratch! I am usually too busy with my friends. I like to experiment with food to see what I can come up with. So sometimes I end up with a really, really good dish, and other times I end up with really expensive trash. But that is what experimenting is all about. I love to read. I will read pretty much anything I can get my hands on and my eyes into. But my two favorite authors are James Patterson and Stephen King. More recently I have been reading Alex Sanchez books and like him as well. I get lost in books. I don't see the words on the pages after the first paragraph. It's like a movie screen pops down in my head and I can see, hear, and even smell the characters and their surroundings. Reading relaxes me and allows me to escape the earth and all of her pressures for brief periods of time. I have many sides, I can be serious, funny, witty, sarcastic, and romantic all in the same conversation. I love conversation and debate, as long as it stays friendly. I am very passionate about my beliefs and morals. So if you debate with me, know that I am not being rude, just very passionate. I enjoy going to clubs with my friends, but I also enjoy a Saturday night at my best-friend, Jhonaton’s house drinking with some close friends, a day of just walking around the mall, or a nice quite movie night at one of our houses. If you could possibly consider us a quiet bunch. LOL. I may decide at the last minute to go out, but generally prefer to have at least a few hours notice. You will find I usually like to plan my outings in advance. But I'm not completely non-spontaneous. I’m just a planner, okay? It comes with my job.
