"We are all part of the problem and need to be part of the solution"
I never thought I would write a book that will reach the hearts and minds of people around the world; and change they way they feel about the course we are on, to become the parade that global politicians will want to walk in front of.
My Philosophy
I am part of the problem and have been given the voice and responsibility to be part of the solution
What Gives Me Hope
I know that the power of one can translate with collective will, collective action, into an outcome for change to our collective futures
If I were Mayor, I'd make the world a better place by
Stop Coal - scrap subsidies and internalise all current externalities to those responsible for polution and ecosystem damage
What/who changed my life and why
Meeting with Ray C Anderson of Interface Inc in February 2006. As we talked for several hours we inspired each other. In his book he signed 'To Bob Williamson Comrade in arms for the good of earth' It was Ray that suggested the book I have written to inspire others
“We are now faced with the fact that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time. Life often leaves us standing bare, naked and dejected with a lost opportunity. The ‘tide in the affairs of men’ does not remain at flood: it ebbs. We may cry out desperately for time to pause in her passage, but time is deaf to every plea and rushes on. Over the bleached bones and jumbled residue of numerous civilizations are written the pathetic words: ‘Too late.’” Martin Luther King Jr.

Clean Energy This summer, thanks to pressure from UCS supporters like you, committees in both the House and Senate passed national renewable electricity standards (RE requiring utilities to generate an increasing amount of energy from clean, renewable sources such as the sun and wind. In addition, the full House passed an RES for the second year in a row, this time as part of a comprehensive climate and energy bill. Because the RES bills were not as strong as UCS would have liked, UCS remains dedicated to working this fall with activists and ally organizations to pass a stronger RES. More...

Star-Ledger File PhotoTree huggers come in all sizes and all ages. Commemorate Earth Day 2009 by wrapping your arms around a tree and sharing the photo to prove it. Earth Day 2009 is on April 22. This isn't just any Earth Day. It's the 40th anniversary. Seems like only yesterday, we were throwing old tires in our rivers without a second thought and now here we are, refusing plastic bags, recycling and buying electric cars.
