What I Want to Do: Not be ignorant

Wish List.

*blah*

My disclaimer: the below words are only my thoughts and feelings which are not set in stone, as I inevitably learn more, they too will change. These are just my thoughts and the world at large seems to think I am crazy =)

I want to bring back the Golden Rule. A set of ethics and morals that have nothing to do with religion. It seems the world has become terribly mean. I wonder if previous generations have always felt that theirs was the most lax in kindness.

I want to somehow get recycling bins for all multi-family housing buildings in Los Angeles County. So much is going to waste here. Because only houses have recycling bins as provided by the state. Apartment owners must pay for them as they do trash. However, most people won't part with their money even if it means helping everyone in the long term.

I want the current presidential candidates to end pointless mud slinging. I want them to spend less time talking about how terrible the other person is and about why they feel they are the best for the job.

I want to see the end of Shark Finning. It is my ocean as much as theirs, in the waters they are harvesting. And they are destroying my habitat. And yours. That is personal.

I wish there was a way for people to actually enforce the laws they create for the good of the people. Especially, internationally.

I wish to never see another genocide.

I wish for the end of bureaucracy and the evolution of Capitalism. This seems very unsustainable.

I want people to stop blaming everyone else and take some responsibility for the consequences of their words and actions.

I want people all over the world to empower themselves as much as possible.

I wish people wouldn't think of themselves in such segregated terms: Pakistani, Chinese, Russian, French, African, German, Canadian, Cambodian, American, Italian... While it gives us pride, it also gives us prejudice. We have to work together to save ourselves from each other. If we could somehow shift thinking to Global citizen, one world while still maintaining our own heritage and individuality... and realize this planet is not so big after all...

I want Americans to be able to go to the Doctor. All americans. Corporations had their go at healthcare. and many people died because of it. So, let's take the healthcare out of private hands and put it into the government. I really don't understand why this hasn't been done yet. Seeing how much money there is to be made charging people for nothing. It sounds like a dream job for DC. I find it horribly embarrassing that one of world's super powers cannot even take care of its own people. what is wrong with that picture? it makes me terribly sad.

we, as americans, have so so so much potential. And, the devastating part is that we're wasting it, watching TV, eating McDonald's, letting video games and schools raise our kids, getting fat and dying and wondering why life just isn't as fulfilling as it used to be. Our government won't/can't change that for us. Besides, it is working for them since our despondency provides them with the ultimate Carte Blanche.

I want people in America to become patriotic, by keeping their government in line, and understanding that from Congressperson to President. They are all CIVIL SERVANTS. I want people in Americans to read and know their Constitution and their bill of rights. I want them to understand that in questioning and and learning is the best thing they can do for their country, and so much more effective that flag bearing/ waving or bumper stickers. But they are learning from their leaders, who are busy yelling at each other from across the stage. America feels like a dysfunctional family. With crazy, corrupt parents. But Americans don't understand that it is their job to keep Washington accountable.

Americans are conditioned to call someone for everything. our car breaks, we call a mechanic. our toilet, call the plumber. our kids, call the teacher, call the shrink. call anyone. we (generally, speaking) have become spoiled dependent children and we are waiting for someone to help this and that and us and everything. the gov't got one thing right this year... the campaign "Army of One" No one cares enough to help. The world is in your hands. It is your choice. To rise, to fall. To care. OR to turn on MSNBC. It truly is your choice.

I want people to stop destroying the habitats of the world. and stop endangering everything, including me and you. But, the problem with this is... what if they doing it to feed their family? So are they not allowed to consummate their marriage or love because they have not enough income? That doesn't seem right. So we now have to end hunger. And understand why they are hungry. And the land and the government that lets them starve. It is so easy to slip into black and white when emotions are charged. but this a crayola problem. multi-media and multi- layered.

speaking of crayola what happened to art?
