Put the focus back on the basics in the school curriculum.
What/who changed my life and why
Wilma Rudolph . . . she was a woman who overcame more obstacles than I could possibly imagine, and yet went on to concur the world in the Olympics. Born at 4.5 lbs, contracted polio, scarlet fever, had to wear a special built up shoe and braces on her legs until she was 12. Once she got them off, there was no holding her back. Her work for the advancement of women, blacks and people in general will always inspire me.
