My passions are simple: Connect with those who share the same passions, beliefs, and help send the message(s) out there that our planet is dying. Empower myself and others so that we dont sit back and watch it all happen! Its time to act. Its time to speak, yell, scream, write, sign, the message to the government that they need to change the laws, they need to protect the those animals that need protecting, they need to start caring about the state of the planet. Its time to fix our mistakes. Its time to fix our planet please go to www.polarbearsos.org or sign the petition. DEMAND Bush to protect them NOW!!!!!!
Good news!! read me latest email message Dear Teresa,
You helped create a blizzard of support for the polar bear during the comment period that closed this past Monday.
In just 90 days, more than 500,000 Americans submitted comments to the Bush Administration in support of protection for the polar bear under the Endangered Species Act.
That figure is almost DOUBLE the number of public comments generated by any other endangered species listing case in U.S. history. Even more amazing is that NRDC Members and online activists like you contributed almost half of the total comments!
Thanks to you, our Polar Bear SOS campaign was able to broadcast the plight of the polar bear to millions of Americans -- and they responded to its distress signals in an unprecedented outpouring of support.
What's next? The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will review the collected comments and will render a decision on whether or not to protect the polar bear by next January.
That protection is far from assured. And so, between now and January, NRDC will continue ratcheting up public and scientific opinion on behalf of the polar bear -- who despite its mighty survival skills is simply no match for global warming.
At the same time, we'll be fighting in Congress for tough legislation to start cutting America's global warming pollution -- our very best hope for averting a disastrous future of climate upheaval that imperils not only the polar bear, but humankind as well.
We'll be counting on your support and activism at every step of the way. Thank you again for making your voice heard during this critical comment period.
Polar bears are being driven extinct by global warming. Their sea-ice home is rapidly melting.
Adding insult to injury, the Bush administration issued a permit to oil and gas companies to disrupt and harm denning polar bears by drilling in the Beaufort Sea and coastal plains. This permit allows them to harass mothers and vulnerable newborn cubs seeking refuge in maternity dens during harsh winter months. Meanwhile industry groups and demagogues like Rush Limbaugh are attacking the polar bear with anti-scientific claims that it's not in danger.
I'm appalled, but not surprised. Political appointees charged with wildlife management should be protecting species, not oil companies. Right now, the Center for Biological Diversity is challenging them to do just that. Please make a gift to help.
But we're not facing this challenge alone, thanks to our members and e-activists, including hundreds who have specifically responded to my appeals for help these past few weeks. If you have contributed already, please accept my personal thanks — we're halfway to our goal of $30,000. Help us reach this goal.
Apr 3, 2007 1:19 PM Teresa F. (7) Yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court finally set the Bush Administration straight on global warming.
In a 5-4 vote, the Court agreed with NRDC and our partners that carbon dioxide and other global warming emissions are "pollutants" under the Clean Air Act
Prayer For Animals
God Our Heavenly Father, You created the world to serve humanity's needs and to lead them to You. By our own fault we have lost the beautiful relationship which we once had with all your creation. Help us to see that by restoring our relationship with You we will also restore it with all Your creation. Give us the grace to see all animals as gifts from You and to treat them with respect for they are Your creation. We pray for all animals who are suffering as a result of our neglect. May the order You originally established be once again restored to the whole world through the intercession of the Glorious Virgin Mary, the prayers of Saint Francis and the merits of Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ Who lives and reigns with You now and forever. Amen.

What/who changed my life and why
My dad: He showed me at a very early age the beauty of the earth and the animlas that inhabit it; the importance that we should protect it as much as we can so that generations to come can enjoy that same beauty. It appears we have failed some species. Sorry dad.
