An example of the kind of propaganda we have to watch out for. This article was obviously written by pro-horse-slaughter interests and finagled into a "green" publication.

This is a pro-slaughter, pro-corporate ranching, anti-wild horse astroturf movement very much like the Tea Party. Their website is constructed by a group that boasts of using tactics of war to turn your opponents concerns against them. OODA Strategies boasts:

Since I have begun spreading the word about United-Horsemen, an interesting thing has happened. If you go to Google and search "United Horsemen" instead of this group's page coming up first as it used to, a very folksy, amateurish page featuring horsemen, women and children of all colors enjoying barbecues and 4th of July parties pops up first. I am inclined to believe this is "red herring"!


Pro-horse slaughter is not about "saving abandoned & neglected horses" or "meeting the demand for meat in Europe". It is about removing the wild horses that belong to WE THE PEOPLE from the public lands that belong to WE THE PEOPLE so that corporate ranchers can steal them from us.

President Obama has the power to put an end to this. Call or write him today and tell him to do so!
