Please check out my friend's Your Cause Website. Here is a short blurb from her site about what she is doing.

"I want to share the happiness and comfort animals so selflessly give. Pets and therapy animals have helped countless individuals overcome their isolation and sadness due to depression, autism, physical injury, etc. Yet so many animals end up uncared for and unloved.
Mission Statement: I rescue animals that are in need of a second chance and a better life, to share their joy with the lives of people in need of a smile and some hope."

She supports a group called To Write Love on Her Arms, which in their words  "is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide." take your time and check our her cause, it is a very worthy one.

For myself please check out my website as well I am a freelance photographer and photojournalism student wishing to explore into topics such as environmentalism, animal and wildlife rehabilitation, abandoned spaces, and American Ruins. Some of my photos are available for print. I strive for a more eco friendly photo printing process and am in the process of buiding a completely energy independent ecofriendly digital photography studio.

Right now I am raising money for Eagle Hill Equine Rescue. This is a wonderful place that saves, rehabs and adopts out horses. One of their main missions is to help Nurse Mare Foals. If you do not know what Nurse Mare Foals are it is quite a sad story to say the least. With the breeding of Thuroughbreds the mare has to be kept open for more breeding so their foal is taken away so that the mare can be bred again fairly soon after the birth. So they are given over to a draft horse female to nurse them, a Nurse Mare. Yet, these nurse mares are kept constantly bred so that they can produce milk for the foals they are nursing. Many of the stables see these foals as discards and in many cases euthanize these foals. This is where Eagle Hill comes into play. They rescue these foals so that they can be bridle, bit and saddle trained and adopted out to new families.

So for this month and the coming months I am raising money from the sale of my nature prints. I am giving 25% of the profits from my prints directly to Eagle Hill Equine Rescue. If you cannot buy my prints think of directly helping out Eagle Hill they have a list of supplies that they need for the upcoming season.
