Why Have The People Allowed The Politicians Too Run The Country Instead Of The People?
Somehow I thought it was, WE the PEOPLE! One would have lived under a rock not too see what is going on. WE, as in US the PEOPLE have put our TRUST in others who have broken OUR COUNTRY in half. It is so sad that WE the PEOPLE are being played by the very people WE the PEOPLE elect to protect US, OUR FAMILIES and COUNTRY.
The time has come for US yes, WE the PEOPLE to shed the blinders. Take the blindfold off of Lady Justice and find TRUTH and JUSTICE for ALL. We should not have classes of PEOPLE in this COUNTRY. If WE hold these TRUTHS to be self-evident, that all MEN are created EQUAL. As stated by Thomas Jefferson, and I add all WOMEN are created EQUAL!
If OUR elected officials can’t put their petty grievances with each other aside and serve WE the PEOPLE, it’s time WE the PEOPLE make changes. The days of Republicans and Democrats fighting each other for their beliefs and ideas need to STOP! They need do the PEOPLES WILL not some party beliefs and ideals. They need to stop wasting time and OUR TAX MONEY. They give OUR TAX MONEY to other countries, they give earmarks (OUR TAX MONEY) to their friends pet project’s. They give their selves pay raises, get wine and dined by lobbyist with benefits. Our government has billions of dollars missing in Iraq and Afghanistan with no clue. Let’s not forget OUR government likes giving the wealth lower taxes and that’s not even the top of the iceberg.
So what are WE the PEOPLE reaping for OUR hard work and TAX MONEY? A couple of wars budget cuts, more homeless and unemployment. Increase in crime, we’re becoming a Third World country as WE the PEOPLE grow poorer while the wealth grows richer. How many $1000.00 dollar plate dinners have WE the less fortunate PEOPLE attended? You get as many favors as you can afford I guess WE PEOPLE keep PAYING the band to play while the powerful laughs and dances.
Think America, our Forefathers would not have put up with this!
A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government. – Thomas Jefferson (1801)
If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. – Samuel Adams
The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests. – Patrick Henry
Where is it written in the Constitution, in what section or clause is it contained, that you may take children from their parents and parents from their children, and compel them to fight the battle in any war in which the folly or the wickedness of government may engage it? – Daniel Webster
Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few … No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare. – James Madison
Our legislators are not sufficiently apprized of the rightful limits of their power; that their true office is to declare and enforce only our natural rights and duties, and to take none of them from us. – Thomas Jefferson, Letter to F. W. Gilmer, 1816
